AI Software Engineering Consultant - Remote

The UVA VEC is looking for skilled Software Engineering professionals to contribute to forward-thinking AI research initiatives. This role focuses on improving advanced AI systems by applying real-world engineering expertise to evaluate, refine, and optimize technical outputs.

Responsibilities:

• Review and improve AI-generated prompts, code, and technical responses
• Validate algorithms and system logic for accuracy and reliability
• Provide structured, actionable feedback on solution quality
• Classify and organize technical outputs by topic, complexity, or domain
• Assist in benchmarking and evaluating AI model performance

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in software engineering or technical development
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C++
• Strong debugging, testing, and validation skills
• Excellent attention to detail and technical writing ability
