Novolex is a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging that supports multiple industries. The Controls Engineer III will be responsible for completing all phases of control system design and implementation, providing technical support, and maintaining accurate electrical designs and controls programs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a fully documented and accurate electrical design and electrical controls programs that comply with established Evergreen and industry standards
- Maintain a cost balance for the electrical design that achieves the lowest base cost with the highest manufacturing efficiency and lowest warranty
- Produce electrical design/program changes to support sale orders, product improvements, change requests and non-conformances for assigned product lines
- Provide timely, complete, and consistent technical support to internal and external business customers as required in support of assigned product lines
- Support the Controls Team to increase output, standardization, and repeatability of designs and programs through developing and continuously improving engineering tools and work processes
- Complete all phases of the assigned accountabilities to a successful conclusion within the projected scope, timeframe, and budget
- Collaborate with fellow Controls and Mechanical engineers
- Provide a reasonable amount of support and training for lower-level staff and coordinate a portion of their work through others
Requirements:
- Degreed Engineer (preferably electrical, will consider mechanical or chemical)
- 5-10 years of professional experience in Rockwell Allen-Bradley Controls Platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to produce results
- Demonstrated ability to work well with people
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies
- Ability to travel up to 30% and often with short notice

- Design experience with Servo System is desired
