C3 Technology Advisors is an innovative company guiding enterprises in cybersecurity and complex connectivity. They are seeking a Lead Cyber Security Engineer to lead technical discovery sessions, design cybersecurity solutions, and maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring smooth project transitions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead client facing technical discovery sessions to understand business goals, assess current environments, and define cybersecurity requirements
- Perform gap analyses to identify risk, improvement opportunities, and additional initiatives across client environments
- Design and recommend cybersecurity solutions that balance risk reduction, operational efficiency, and cost
- Prepare clear and accurate proposals, review RFP/RFI responses, and support technical documentation
- Facilitate and guide vendor demonstrations, helping clients evaluate and compare solutions objectively
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with cybersecurity vendors and stay current on their offerings
- Partner closely with Project Management to ensure smooth transition from presales to implementation
- Act as a lead technical contributor within the cybersecurity practice, helping evolve methodologies, tools, and standards
- Develop and recommend training resources and internal enablement materials, including diagrams, vendor matrices, and slide decks
- Participate as a speaker or panelist at C3 hosted events, breakout sessions, or client briefings
- Travel on-site to client meetings as requested by Sales Consultants
Requirements:
- 5 or more years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, architecture, or pre-sales roles supporting enterprise or upper mid-market clients
- Demonstrated expertise across core cybersecurity domains, including network security, endpoint protection, identity, cloud security, and security operations
- Hands on experience with enterprise security technologies such as next generation firewalls, IDS and IPS, EDR, SIEM, and vulnerability management platforms
- Proven ability to lead complex technical discovery engagements, perform risk-based gap analysis, and translate findings into solution recommendations
- Strong understanding of widely adopted security frameworks and standards, including NIST CSF, CMMC, CIS, HIPAA, PCI, and other related compliance models and GRC toolsets
- Experience supporting or responding to formal RFP and RFI processes, including technical writing and solution positioning
- Ability to effectively present to and influence both technical stakeholders and executive audiences
- Deep familiarity with the cybersecurity vendor landscape and ability to position competing solutions objectively
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience working at a consulting, systems integrator, VAR, or technology advisory environment preferred
- Relevant industry certifications are strongly preferred, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent
