About this role
Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Fulltime Remote position. As a Software Engineer on the Benefits Technology team, you will work in a team that partners closely with Product Managers and customers to learn about the challenges employers face while navigating the competitive employee benefits landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Design solutions that solve problems in ways our customers love and work for our business
- Build the highest quality software in the latest technologies and test driven development practices
Requirements:
- NoSQL/document databases (Postgres, MongoDB)
- GraphQL
- RESTful APIs
- React
- Terraform
- microservices
- event-driven systems (Kafka)
- Strong hands-on development experience and software engineering fundamentals
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for junior engineers/non-technical stakeholders
- Ambition, initiative, learning agility – proactive problem-solving and goal-oriented
- Strong communication and collaboration within global teams
- SQL Server helpful but secondary (~20% of legacy support)
