As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support digital transformation initiatives across Investment Management, contributing significantly to the organization's data-driven decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize complex ELT jobs to process diverse data sources, ensuring the creation of high-integrity, high-quality, and clean data assets
- Implement and refine data modeling policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and reliability across data systems
- Capture and document system flows, database designs, and technical specifications to facilitate effective data management and system understanding
- Develop and enforce comprehensive data quality standards, utilizing appropriate tools to maintain data accuracy and reliability
- Collaborate with Investment Management departments to understand new data patterns and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Work closely with Data Analysts, Data Architects, and BI developers to design scalable data solutions aligned with organizational goals
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring clarity and feasibility of implementation
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data processing workflows and infrastructure performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics, data modeling, and database design
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with ELT methodologies and tools
- Proficiency in designing, developing, tuning, and troubleshooting SQL queries with a minimum of 5 years of experience in this area
- At least 3 years of coding and scripting experience in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- 2 years of experience working with the Spark framework
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Proven track record of working collaboratively in a team environment
