Arcus Hunting, LLC is an acquisition and growth platform focused on building a portfolio of leading brands in the hunting and outdoor consumables and accessories space. The Product Category Manager will drive product execution and category growth, working closely with senior leadership and managing day-to-day execution across assigned product categories.
Responsibilities:
- Support new product development from concept through launch
- Coordinate samples, testing, and revisions with suppliers and internal teams
- Track timelines, costs, and deliverables to keep projects on schedule
- Help manage assigned product categories, including assortment, pricing support, and lifecycle tracking
- Assist in identifying product gaps, competitive opportunities, and line extensions
- Maintain product data, SKU details, and category documentation
- Support cost modeling, pricing analysis, and margin tracking
- Help prepare business cases and category performance summaries
- Analyze sales data and competitive sets to support decision-making
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams
- Assist with launch readiness, including product details, timelines, and internal communication
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on assigned product categories
- Take initiative to move projects forward and solve problems as they arise
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
- Learn to prioritize effectively while maintaining attention to detail
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in product management, category management, merchandising, brand support, or a related role
- Experience in consumer products preferred (outdoor, sporting goods, CPG, or hard goods a plus)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and basic financial analysis
- Self-motivated and willing to jump in wherever needed
- Exposure to product development or supplier coordination
- Experience working in a small or mid-sized company
- Retail, DTC, or e-commerce experience
