Alight is a company that champions people and focuses on improving lives through a unified benefits ecosystem. They are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities supporting healthcare applications and services.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing and governing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI enforcement
- Driving compliance alignment across DevOps processes to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, and using CheckMarx, SonarQube internal security standards, focusing on access control, auditability, and PHI safeguards
- Automating deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability across distributed cloud services, familiar with containerized workloads is a plus
- Collaborating with security, compliance, and audit teams to support continuous monitoring, evidence gathering, and security assessments
- Delivering infrastructure and application deployments during weekend release windows as required; participate in an on-call rotation
- Enforcing and contributing to engineering standards, best practices, and technical design reviews
- Troubleshooting and remediate complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes
- Includes weekend work for planned releases and on-call rotations
Requirements:
- 3+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience, with at least 3 years hands-on experience in both Azure and AWS
- Demonstrate expertise with YAML-based pipelines (multi-stage, reusable templates, variable groups, environments)
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD, repository management, and pipelines governance
- Proficiency abilities using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Demonstrate expertise with Azure Cosmo DB, Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS), or GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux)
- Maintain experience with observability tools such as Azure Application Insight, New Relic, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch
- Have certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400
