The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service. They are seeking an Azure Technician/Engineer to enhance a proprietary chatbot prototype for commercial applications, focusing on system architecture and Azure configurations.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance an existing RAG based proprietary playwriting chatbot prototype for scaling up and ensuring its readiness for commercial applications
• Focus on advancing system architecture
• Ensure secure and scalable Azure configurations in consultation with the project director
• Optimize the chatbot for long-term subscription-based applications and commercial readiness
• Monitoring, maintaining, and upgrading the existing Azure cloud architecture
• Increase prompting protocols
• Troubleshoot issues like eliminating LLM creep
• Support technical enhancements
• Collaborate and coordinate with project director

Requirements:

• Expertise with Azure cloud services, including deployment, configuration, and scalability
• Experience with chatbot technologies and subscription-based systems
• Skilled in troubleshooting, system optimization, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of automation tools, scripting, and workflow integration
• Strong ability to work independently and manage remote collaborations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience with commercial applications or academic settings is a plus
