Brooksource is seeking a Project Manager for their Mergers & Acquisition Technology team. The role involves managing IT projects with a focus on application integration and operational readiness, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible and accountable for leading or supporting overall project and program performance for a designated IT application-focused workstream, with collaboration across M&A-driven integration activities as needed
- Ensure project/program costs, schedule, scope, and risks are managed, including development of recovery plans to stay within approved limits, schedule, and spending
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including system integrators and operational support teams, to coordinate project requirements and facilitate planning and analysis workshops prior to execution
- Build effective working relationships with team members, line managers, interfacing organizations, and contract service providers
- Serve as the primary communicator with sponsors and stakeholders on project issues, including executive-level and interdepartmental presentations, while ensuring clear, proactive communication under tight timelines
- Coach and lead project team members to ensure accountability for responsibilities and timely completion of assigned tasks, maintaining professionalism during periods of stress and ambiguity
- Identify and obtain project team resources with support from the Manager - Project Management, while collaborating within a structured program environment supported by program leads and system integrators
- Manage Low to high complexity IT projects/workstreams within one designated Portfolio
- Provide oversight across execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to scope, budget, and timeline while managing project milestones through ambiguity
- Prepare estimates and detailed project plans, ensuring sufficient planning and analysis runway before execution
- Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and communication of project objectives and status to technical teams and sponsors
- Lead and motivate internal and external resources, holding them accountable for deliverables while maintaining a respectful and collaborative environment with global teams
- Identify, track, and control project issues and critical path deliverables, managing project challenges calmly under pressure
- Serve as the primary communicator with sponsors and stakeholders, ensuring issues are addressed transparently and efficiently
- Ensure completion of projects on time and within budget while upholding high standards of quality and compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline (e.g., information systems management, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, construction management) or equivalent experience, and (6-9) years of related work experience in project management
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader including the ability to handle conflicting priorities in a multi-task environment
- Demonstrated leadership, communications, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including technology and performance
- Demonstrated strong judgment and time management skills
- Demonstrated project management skills, writing skills and PC skills including Work, Excel, Access, Power Point, Project, Passport
- Experience or knowledge of the specific functional area or discipline (Information Technology experience)
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience managing projects
- Understanding of job budgeting, costing and performance metrics reporting
