Healthcare Revenue Cycle BI Data Engineer

Ovation Healthcare is dedicated to strengthening independent community healthcare and has been doing so for over 40 years. They are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong Revenue Cycle Management domain knowledge to lead the design and optimization of data solutions supporting financial, operational, and reporting initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, write, and optimize complex, high-performance SQL queries
• Architect and maintain stored procedures, views, and reusable SQL functions (scalar & table-valued)
• Lead SQL Server development and performance tuning using SSMS
• Apply data warehousing principles to build scalable, reliable data models
• Develop enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports for RCM analytics
• Create advanced DAX measures and optimized Power Query transformations
• Manage deployments, refresh schedules, and governance in Power BI Service
• Implement and enforce row-level security (RLS) and data access controls
• Translate RCM business requirements (billing, claims, payments, denials, AR) into technical solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis within the healthcare revenue cycle industry
• Advanced SQL Server expertise with a strong performance-tuning focus
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
• Expert-level Power BI skills (DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service)
• Hands-on experience with RCM data (billing, claims, reimbursements, denials, AR aging)
• Advanced Excel skills for financial and operational analysis
• Experience supporting large, complex datasets in regulated environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner with business stakeholders
• Advanced degree preferred
