James Search Group is partnering with a leading Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance carrier recognized for its commitment to innovation and data security. They are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to enhance their security infrastructure and protect critical systems from cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions to protect company networks, systems, and data
- Monitor and analyze security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents, responding proactively to mitigate risks
- Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization
- Collaborate with IT, risk management, and compliance teams to align security strategies with business goals
- Implement SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
- Investigate security breaches, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
- Stay current with evolving cyber threats, trends, and regulatory requirements in the insurance industry
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or risk management
- Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, IAM, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Proficiency in firewalls, SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security solutions
- Ability to analyze security threats, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions
- CISSP, CISM, CEH, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications
- A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
