Netflix is a leading entertainment company focused on pushing the boundaries of storytelling and global fandom. They are seeking a Data Science Manager to lead a team of Data Scientists and Analytics Engineers, responsible for developing data strategies and analytics for games product experiences.
Responsibilities:
- You will enable the measurement, analytics and experimentation strategy for Games specific discovery features Players on Netflix interact with games specific surfaces to discover and engage with games content and the larger games ecosystem. You will both drive experimentation for games specific features, as well as collaborate with our member team on shared surface experiments
- You will enable the measurement, analytics and experimentation strategy for Games Platform features As the Netflix Games platform expands, you will work directly with Product Managers as they build out game-adjacent features (Leaderboards, Achievements, Social etc) to track and measure their evolution
- You will own the information flow of critical backend platform data Our internal development teams rely on device, crash and meta information on the performance of our services
- You will coach and inspire a high-performing team. You'll provide guidance and mentorship, ensuring the team's work is scalable, consistent, and delivers high-impact insights that shape our games portfolio
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience managing highly technical individual contributors
- Demonstrated experience in building, managing, growing, and inspiring data science and analytics teams
- Deep understanding of data science, analytics engineering, and business analytics, with a focus on standardization, scalability, and systematic frameworks
- Exceptional business acumen and the ability to effectively influence senior leaders across a variety of disciplines and business domains
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence both technical and business senior leaders
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a role model for the team through a consistently positive and collaborative approach
- Ph.D. or advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related field
