Director, Product Management

Drake Software is focused on helping everyday Americans maximize their tax advantages through innovative software solutions. They are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead a team in building software for tax professionals, ensuring alignment across departments and delivering high-impact solutions based on customer needs and market insights.

Responsibilities:

• Hire, coach, and develop a strong team of product managers
• Define and drive the overall product roadmap across key initiatives, ensuring it reflects customer needs, business goals, and industry trends
• Guide product managers in using data and customer feedback to inform priorities and validate solutions
• Foster close collaboration across cross-functional teams and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Ensure product decisions account for business constraints, technical feasibility, and compliance requirements
• Monitor the competitive landscape and evolving needs of tax professionals to identify opportunities and risks

Requirements:

• 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years leading and coaching PMs
• Experience building B2B software products, ideally in tax, accounting, or other professional services
• Strong understanding of product discovery, delivery, and roadmap development
• Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and communication at all levels
• Ability to support teams in balancing strategic thinking with practical execution
• Familiarity with the workflows and challenges of tax professionals
• Experience working in a regulated or compliance-heavy industry
