They are seeking a Sales Engineer to drive new business growth in the data center power infrastructure sector by identifying opportunities, building customer relationships, and providing technical leadership throughout the sales cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the data center power infrastructure market
- Expand AK Power Solutions’ presence in key regional and national markets
- Develop and execute market entry and growth strategies aligned with company objectives
- Proactively hunt for and acquire new customers using industry knowledge and professional networks
- Conduct customer needs assessments and tailor technical sales solutions accordingly
- Lead the sales process from prospecting through close, ensuring customer requirements are met or exceeded
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers
- Serve as the primary customer contact, resolving issues and enhancing the overall customer experience
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional solutions and services
- Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis within the data center infrastructure sector
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of market development strategies and adjust as necessary
- Work closely with engineering, product development, and operations teams to align solutions with customer requirements
- Partner with marketing to develop sales tools, technical materials, and promotional campaigns
- Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership highlighting progress, risks, and growth opportunities
- Ensure contracts, agreements, and sales documentation are completed accurately and on time
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (required)
- Proven sales success within the data center or electrical infrastructure market
- Strong technical knowledge of: Transformers
- Strong technical knowledge of: Switchgear and integrated electrical systems
- Strong technical knowledge of: Rectifiers and DC-DC converters
- Strong technical knowledge of: Power distribution and power conversion systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
