Senior Software Engineer

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Sr Software Engineer to fill an open position with one of their clients in the banking industry. This fully remote role involves delivering new features and enabling capabilities using modern software engineering practices, while ensuring high-quality and secure solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Implement new software features while maintaining quality, security, and performance standards
• Contribute to an agile squad by participating in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing
• Partner with teammates to research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer and system issues
• Follow established engineering standards and best practices while identifying opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or comparable experience with 5 years or less of software development experience
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design and application development practices
• Hands-on experience with mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with Agile business analysis, testing, and migration efforts
• Working knowledge of version control tools such as Git or GitHub
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and secure coding best practices
• Card processing solutions (TSYS, Mastercard)
• QA
• SAS knowledge
• Switchboard/DBT/Snowflake
