careviso is a cutting-edge, rapidly-growing healthcare technology company. They are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their infrastructure team, where the role involves building and maintaining reliable, secure, and observable systems while collaborating with product teams and managing AWS infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Application Performance & Reliability
- Partner directly with product teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve application performance issues or escalate to the appropriate owners
- Build and improve monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding across our application and infrastructure using the Grafana stack
- Establish SLIs/SLOs and drive reliability improvements based on data
- Participate in incident response and blameless postmortems
- On-call rotation during business hours with off-hours coverage for critical incidents only
- Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
- Manage and evolve AWS infrastructure using Terraform
- Maintain and improve ECS-based deployments for our Rails monolith and supporting services
- Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions
- Build internal tooling that improves developer productivity and deployment confidence
- Security & Compliance
- Support HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance through infrastructure controls, access management, and audit readiness
- Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud resources
- FinOps
- Monitor cloud spend and identify optimization opportunities
- Right-size resources and implement cost-aware infrastructure patterns
Requirements:
- 2–3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
- 2–3+ years of software development experience
- Familiarity with one or more high-level languages such as Ruby, Python, Javascript, Java, C/C++, etc
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platform
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with containerized deployments
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with observability tooling
- Understanding of security fundamentals and compliance in regulated environments
- Comfortable working in a small team where ownership and initiative matter
- AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, etc.)
- Experience in healthcare or other compliance-heavy industries (HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Background in data engineering or ETL pipelines
- QA or test automation experience
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails applications
