Matrix Medical Network is the nation’s leading independent provider of comprehensive in-home health assessments. They are seeking a DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to support and enhance cloud-based software platforms, driving continuous improvements in system stability, scalability, and security while collaborating closely with development and IT teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical liaison between software development teams and IT/infrastructure operations
- Design, support, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tooling
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and self-service capabilities to support product development and operations
- Architect, provision, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure across multiple environments (dev, test, staging, production)
- Drive adoption and best practices for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, availability, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response and root cause analysis
- Partner with software engineers to improve deployment strategies, environment consistency, and release quality
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance best practices across Azure environments
- Contribute to standards, documentation, and operational best practices
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in automation, reliability, and scalability
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or IT Infrastructure roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and its core services
- Advanced proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell required; Python and/or Bash a plus)
- Extensive experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, artifacts, release management)
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting in Azure (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights)
- Solid understanding of Azure networking and identity concepts (VNets, NSGs, Azure AD, RBAC)
- Experience supporting production-grade, cloud-based software applications
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex, cross-system issues
- Experience with containers and orchestration technologies (Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service - AKS)
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred; ARM/Bicep acceptable)
- Familiarity with configuration management and automation frameworks
- Experience implementing cloud security best practices (Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, Azure Policy)
- Experience designing and supporting high-availability and disaster recovery architectures
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305
