Avetta is a company focused on complex technology projects, and they are seeking a Technical Project Manager for CRM and Data Systems. This role will lead cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing data quality and streamlining processes, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and execution of CRM and data-focused projects, including new implementations, enhancements, integrations, and migrations
- Define and maintain project charters, plans, and roadmaps covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resourcing, and budget
- Manage multiple, concurrent projects in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Coordinate and align work across internal teams (IT, Data/BI, Integrations, Security, Operations) and external implementation partners
- Run core project ceremonies and routines: project kickoffs, status reviews, risk/issue reviews, and steering committee updates
- Act as a technical project lead for initiatives involving: CRM / RevTech: Salesforce (or similar), marketing automation (e.g., Marketo), sales engagement tools, and related integrations
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, with particular attention to: Account, contact, and opportunity models, Master data and hierarchies, Data quality rules and governance, Cross-system integrations and data flows
- Partner with Data, Integrations, and Architecture teams to ensure designs are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards
- Support design and coordination of system integrations across CRM, ERP, billing, and data platforms (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora, Snowflake, MDM, and other key systems)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business sponsors and product/process owners in Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Finance, and Operations
- Lead requirements and discovery workshops, process walk-throughs, and design reviews with cross-functional teams
- Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
- Drive change management in partnership with business and PMO: Impact assessments, Communication plans, Training and enablement coordination, Post-go-live support and adoption tracking
- Establish and manage RAIDs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) for each project; define and track mitigation and contingency plans
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance considerations are built into project designs and plans
- Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) planning, execution, and signoff, including test strategy, test cases, and defect triage
- Partner with PMO to ensure adherence to project governance standards, templates, and reporting expectations (status reports, steering packages, dashboards)
- Identify opportunities to standardize and improve project practices, especially around CRM and data implementations (intake, prioritization, templates, checklists, and playbooks)
- Contribute to and leverage PMO and IT standards (project classification, charters, status reporting, change management, etc.)
- Share lessons learned and best practices to improve future CRM and data delivery across the portfolio

- 5 years of dedicated project or program management experience leading technology projects from initiation through implementation
- Significant hands-on experience delivering projects in CRM and/or RevOps domains: implementations or major enhancements in Salesforce or similar CRM; projects involving marketing automation, lead-to-cash, or campaign-to-cash processes
- Demonstrated experience in data-centric projects, such as data warehouse / data lake implementations or migrations; data quality, MDM, or data governance initiatives; BI/reporting projects and analytics enablement
- Strong understanding of systems integration and data flows across CRM, ERP, billing, and data platforms
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Wrike, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Miro/Lucid, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed, and global environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience delivering projects in SaaS or other subscription-based business models
- Hands-on familiarity with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, potentially CPQ or Revenue Cloud), Marketing/RevOps tools (e.g., Marketo, 6sense, ZoomInfo, etc.), Data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, MDM tools, modern ETL/ELT stacks), ERP/Billing systems (e.g., NetSuite, Zuora)
- PMP, Prince2, or comparable project management certification
- Agile / Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM, SAFe) and experience operating in hybrid delivery models
- Prior experience working closely with RevOps, Marketing Ops, Sales Ops, or Data/Analytics teams
