Principal Product Designer, Ads Platform

Reddit is a community of communities and is seeking a Principal Product Designer for their Ads Platform. This role involves shaping the strategic vision and leading the design of tools that empower advertisers and account managers to manage ad campaigns effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Define the long-term design vision and lead the design strategy of Reddit’s Advertiser Platform, balancing the complexity of advertising needs with simplicity and usability
• Stay ahead of the curve by staying informed about the latest ad technologies, design trends and evolving digital ecosystem
• Lead efforts to conceptualize non-obvious initiatives to the Ads Platform, pushing the boundaries of user-centric design and exploring opportunities to differentiate Reddit from competitors
• Translate complex ideas into scalable, intuitive design solutions that elevate the user experience for advertisers and account managers at scale
• Take the lead at every stage of the design lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring high-quality execution that balances innovation with usability
• Deeply understand the diverse needs of advertisers across market segments and verticals, and translate insights into intuitive, impactful design solutions
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and UX researchers, driving consensus and effectively communicating design ideas to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Cultivate a culture of learning and growth within the design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while developing the next generation of design talent

Requirements:

• 10+ years of UX/UI design experience, with deep expertise in enterprise-scale platforms
• Proven track record of navigating complex systems solving challenging and nuanced design problems
• Significant experience (3+ years) in high-impact strategic initiatives
• Ability to tell user based stories that make the complex more simple
• Strong history of persuasion balanced with inclusivity and a learning mindset
• Portfolio demonstrating an exceptional ability to distill difficult challenges into intuitive interfaces
• History of delivering scalable design systems that empower users to manage sophisticated automated logic and high-stakes business processes
• Visionary thinking and big thinking seasoned with execution and detailed experience in the small stuff that makes an experience complete
• Demonstrated commitment to leveling up the design org
• History of nurturing talent and fostering a culture of experimentation, particularly in emerging technologies
• Track record of industry-leading work and impactful product launches
• Quantifiable evidence of how your designs have moved the needle on company-wide KPIs and shaped the long-term trajectory of global platforms
