Ledgent Technology is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and scalable infrastructure. The role involves collaborating with technical and business teams to ensure systems are reliable and meet regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and maintain core infrastructure services supporting corporate operations and customer‑facing platforms
- Implement and manage security controls, compliance safeguards, and zero‑trust strategies across hybrid environments
- Ensure systems consistently meet expectations for resilience, availability, disaster recovery, and regulatory alignment
- Translate regulatory guidelines (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA) into practical technical mechanisms and infrastructure policies
- Plan and execute vulnerability scans, penetration testing efforts, and security audits
- Lead timely incident response activities-from investigation through remediation and reporting
- Build and refine automation supporting operations, security, and compliance functions
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation for infrastructure changes, security logic, and operational standards
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure smooth and secure deployments and environment changes
- Produce well‑tested and formally approved control updates as part of ongoing compliance programs
- Contribute to security education initiatives by enhancing training content or recommending improvements
- Foster knowledge sharing, provide mentorship, and help shape a high‑performing team environment
- Track emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic improvements

- Strong command of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and hybrid cloud architectures
- Skilled in automation and scripting, particularly with PowerShell
- Solid understanding of security frameworks and practices associated with NIST, SOC 2, and HIPAA
- Dedication to creating infrastructure that is secure, efficient, and highly available
- Effective at planning work, setting priorities, and delivering results in fast‑moving environments
- Demonstrates accountability, collaboration, and alignment with organizational values
- Communicates clearly with both technical peers and non‑technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years building or administering security controls, compliance systems, or regulated infrastructure environments
- 5+ years of hands‑on work with cloud and hybrid platforms, including Azure and Microsoft 365
- Experience delivering infrastructure solutions for environments subject to regulatory oversight
- Familiarity with audit processes tied to NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA, or comparable standards
- Proficiency with scripting or automation to support infrastructure and security operations
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and coordinating remediation activities
- Background supporting enterprise systems such as servers, networks, security appliances, and storage platforms
- Experience handling IT project execution, including vendor coordination for hardware or networking deployments
- Certifications such as Network+, CISSP, MCSA, Azure certifications, or similar credentials are a plus
