DTN is a global data and technology company helping operational leaders in energy, agriculture, and weather-driven industries make faster, smarter decisions. They are seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to provide industry and technical expertise to help close sales in their Agriculture business.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively collaborates with account-assigned sales professionals to close sales of strategic, complex/technical products
- Uses in-depth subject matter and product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales professionals and customer end-users through sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Assists sales professionals in assessing potential applications of company products and developing recommendations to meet customer needs
- Prepares detailed product specifications for the implementation of customer products/applications/solutions, as needed
- Provides consultation to prospective users, and internal commercial teams and/or product capability assessment and validation
- Drives revenue generation for an assigned set of products
- Become a trusted advisor to clients and prospects
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the utilities industry
- 5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers in a Solution Engineer, pre-sales, technical sales, or solution delivery role
- Be a brilliant storyteller, comfortable with challenging customers and prospects and teaching for value
- Knowledge of the challenges businesses encounter when adopting SaaS solutions in their Digital Transformation journey
- Strong commercial acumen required
