About this role
Assured is on a mission to modernize insurance, providing large insurers with software solutions for claims processing. They are seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks to ensure application quality and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks using TypeScript
- Write and maintain automated UI, API, E2E, and integration tests
- Collaborate with developers to write testable code and integrate tests early in the development lifecycle
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and contribute to overall testability and quality improvements
- Continuously improve test coverage, reliability, and performance of automation
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or similar
- Investigate test failures, triage bugs, and identify root causes of defects
- Contribute to the creation of testing strategies, QA best practices, and documentation
Requirements:
- Experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and the overall JavaScript ecosystem
- Experience with test automation tools
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
