As a Senior Product Manager for Network Automation, you will lead the product strategy and lifecycle, working closely with engineering teams to develop intelligent, automated workflows for Fortune 500 companies. This role involves bridging the gap between complex network engineering and automation, ensuring that Itential remains a leader in Infrastructure as Code.
Responsibilities:
- Own the complete product lifecycle for our network automation platform
- Drive product strategy and roadmap decisions that influence how enterprises manage their infrastructure
- Translate complex network challenges from Fortune 500 customers into innovative product solutions
- Champion the customer voice while launching game-changing features with go-to-market strategies
- Define how AI and automation converge in networking, working with cutting-edge technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field required
- 7+ years of product management experience with enterprise infrastructure, networking, or DevOps tools required
- Demonstrated experience with network protocols (REST APIs, NETCONF, SNMP) and automation frameworks required
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling B2B enterprise software products required
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their networking services required
- Background in Agile product development methodologies and cross-functional team leadership required
- Deep understanding of network automation challenges and enterprise infrastructure requirements
- Strong analytical skills for market analysis, competitive intelligence, and data-driven decision making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions
- Strategic thinking with ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution needs
- Customer-centric mindset with proven ability to advocate for user needs
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Working knowledge of network engineering concepts, protocols, and architectures
- Understanding of automation tools, scripting languages, and infrastructure-as-code principles
- Familiarity with API design, integration patterns, and platform architectures
- Basic understanding of enterprise IT operations, ITIL processes, and service management
- MBA or advanced degree in technical or business field
- Professional certifications in product management or network technologies
- Direct network engineering or DevOps practitioner background
- Experience with specific automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Background with ITSM platforms, network monitoring tools, or orchestration systems
- Experience in SaaS, API-first, or platform product management
- Previous experience in high-growth technology companies or startups
- Programming experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Understanding of microservices architectures and cloud-native applications
- Experience with product analytics tools and data analysis
- Knowledge of enterprise sales cycles and B2B go-to-market strategies
