Security Engineer

Amtex Systems Inc is seeking a Security Engineer to implement, maintain, and optimize security tooling. This role involves close collaboration with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure all security controls are effectively configured and operational.

Responsibilities:

• Implements and maintains security tooling for MNAO, ensuring proper configurations, applying Security-by-Design principles
• Works directly with MNAO's infrastructure, Client Services team and MSSP to ensure all platforms are configured for visibility
• Applies data security principles to tool configurations and integrations
• Implements and maintains security tooling that supports MNAO's business continuity and disaster recovery
• Develops and implements security automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations and enforcement
• Conducts technical vulnerability remediation and coordinates patching efforts
• Provides advanced technical support and troubleshooting for security-related issues
• Develops and maintains technical documentation for security configurations, procedures, and hardening standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering or a similar technical role
• Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, EDR, cloud security controls, and SIEM
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
• Strong understanding of networking, cloud environments, and operating systems
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CCNP Security, or relevant cloud certifications
