ButterflyMX is on a mission to empower people to open and manage doors & gates from a smartphone. They are seeking a Principal Product Designer & Product Manager to lead product creation, focusing on integrating AI with human creativity to enhance product development workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Drive substantial business outcomes that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints across hardware and software touchpoints
- Lead discovery efforts including user research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence
- Establish success metrics that span the entire product experience
- Partner with engineering, business, and executive teams to align on product and design direction, presenting concepts and rationale with confidence and clarity
- Lead end-to-end design processes for major product features across web, mobile, and tablet experiences
- Facilitate design sprints, workshops, and collaborative sessions that bring together diverse stakeholders
- Build strong cross-functional relationships that ensure feasibility without compromising vision
- Champion human-centered design while leveraging AI tools to accelerate and enhance design workflows
- Maintain design standards and actively contribute to our design systems to ensure consistency and quality across all touchpoints
- Partner with engineering and QA teams to ensure product and design excellence
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices
Requirements:
- 8-12 years of hybrid product design and product management experience with a strong portfolio showcasing work across multiple platforms
- Deep understanding of AI/ML capabilities and how they reshape product development workflows
- Exceptional sense of ownership and care, combined with a high degree of agency. If you see something that doesn't feel right, help make it right
