Akima, through its company Truestone, is seeking a Senior Aternity Engineer to manage an Aternity platform focused on end-user system monitoring in a government environment. The role involves performance monitoring, platform administration, data analysis, incident resolution, and optimization to enhance the employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- Performance Monitoring: Proactively track the health of applications and Windows/Mac endpoints, moving from reactive to proactive symptom monitoring
- Platform Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Aternity agents and servers to ensure accurate metric collection
- Data Analysis: Utilize Aternity dashboards to analyze user experience, identify bottlenecks, and generate reports on KPIs
- Incident Resolution: Investigate performance issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with support teams to resolve issues
- Optimization: Create custom business process flows and monitor end-user activity, such as response times, for key applications
Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a government Public Trust clearance and pass a DHS background check
- Bachelor's of Science degree or equivalent
- 10 years overall IT experience with 5+ years hands on experience with Aternity or similar end-user device performance monitoring tools
- Must be willing to work East Coast schedule to accommodate the customer needs
- Proficiency with the Aternity platform building custom dashboards and monitoring solutions for end-user devices
- Knowledge of upgrade process and patching is essential
- Desired skills include knowledge of API integrations, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or similar languages for automation
- Familiar with ServiceNow and how it integrates with Aternity, SQL, and Tableau
