Senior Engineer - User Platform

Spotify is a leading audio streaming service that aims to unlock human creativity by connecting artists and fans. They are seeking a Senior Engineer for the User Platform team to design and develop backend services for user authorization systems, ensuring high availability and stability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services and APIs that power Spotify's creator authorization systems
• Collaborate with different cross-disciplined teams on complex problems. This team works with almost all verticals at Spotify (Music, Audiobooks, Podcasts, etc.)
• Maintaining business-critical Spotify authorization systems, ensuring high availability, stability, and adherence to SLAs
• Embrace and promote sound engineering practices and contribute to a culture of high-quality, scalable, and reliable systems
• Actively contribute to our learning culture by sharing knowledge and mentoring other engineers
• Leverage AI to improve our systems, automate tasks, and drive business impact

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Java
• 5+ years of experience with SQL
• Ideally familiar with React
• Ideally familiar with Typescript
• Ideally familiar with Next.js
• Understanding of the authorization domain
• Problem solver who loves seeing things through from concept to production
• Collaborative teammate who values inclusion and open communication
• Fullstack Developer who understands the complexities of Server side vs Client side development
• Eager to learn whatever skills are needed along the way
