Clover Health is dedicated to improving lives through high-quality, accessible care. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale technology systems that enhance care delivery and operational efficiency for their Clover Care Services team.
Responsibilities:
- Own the technical design and implementation of systems that support clinician workflows, scheduling, routing, and visit management
- Design and build intelligent logistics infrastructure that optimizes clinician time, geography, and member risk
- Collaborate deeply across teams (clinical operations, product, analytics, and engineering) to identify and deliver scalable technology solutions
- Translate operational and clinical needs into robust, maintainable, production-grade systems
- Build automation and AI-enabled workflows that reduce administrative burden and increase clinician capacity
- Drive initiatives from technical discovery and architecture through implementation, launch, and iteration
- Contribute to engineering best practices, system reliability, and long-term scalability
- Help shape technical direction and influence the evolving product roadmap through systems thinking and cross-functional collaboration
Requirements:
- 5–10+ years of experience building and scaling production systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with at least one additional backend language such as Ruby, Go, C, or Java
- Comfortable writing production-grade SQL and working directly with relational databases
- Experience building across the stack, including backend services and frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
- Familiarity with data pipelines, data orchestration, and core data structures
- Comfortable owning complex, ambiguous problems from concept through implementation
- Excited about applying AI, automation, and creative systems thinking to real-world operational challenges
- Skilled at collaborating across clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders
- A systems thinker who understands how data, logistics, and human workflows interact
- Motivated by building infrastructure that meaningfully improves care delivery
- Located in or willing to work primarily within Eastern or Central Time zones
- Experience with scheduling, routing, optimization, marketplace, or logistics systems
- Experience building AI-assisted workflows or automation platforms
- Experience in healthcare, care delivery, regulated environments, or other operationally complex industries
