The Senior Software Engineer I role is primarily responsible for supporting and enhancing software applications within the Cotiviti product suite, collaborating with various stakeholders to improve software performance and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance high quality software modules for the Cotiviti product suite
- Analyze and resolve software related issues originating from internal or external customers
- Document the specifications, design, features, and operation of applications prior to production roll out
- Demonstrate proficient working knowledge of the primary discipline and a developing knowledge of related disciplines
- Execute solutions enhancements to improve performance / availability
- Communicate technical and operational issues to both engineering and business leadership in a timely manner
- Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems
- Explore new ideas and make innovative contributions to existing processes or systems which improve efficiency and results
- Continuously improve and enhance knowledge of new technologies as selected and integrated into the Cotiviti product suite
- Execute all appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a desire for continuous improvement
- Mentor other developers
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5 years of enterprise software design and development experience with a strong focus on Oracle-based solutions
- 2-3 years of healthcare data expertise with solid healthcare domain knowledge
- Expert-level proficiency and Hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL, including: Packages, procedures, functions, triggers, BULK COLLECT / FORALL, Collections, dynamic SQL, autonomous transactions, Exception handling and modular programming
- Hands-on experience with advanced Oracle database features, such as: Partitioning, indexing strategies, materialized views, Analytic/window functions, Oracle Scheduler, Advanced Queuing, DB Links, Optimize statistics management and hints
- Strong experience with ETL development, data transformations, and data quality frameworks
- Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies with specific experience in Agile Scrum
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD implementation for database code: GIT, Bitbucket for version control, CI server configuration using Jenkins/Hudson/Bamboo etc., Automated builds, deployments, and code quality checks
- Proficiency with standard enterprise tools including JIRA for issue tracking
- Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting for automation, batch jobs, and deployment tasks
- Strong analytical, problem solving, debugging, and root cause analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams
