Praetorian is an expert-driven offensive security company focused on preventing breaches before they occur. The Offensive Security Engineer will identify vulnerabilities in advanced systems, develop security capabilities, and contribute to thought leadership in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Identify nuanced vulnerabilities in advanced systems
- Develop capabilities, skills, and agents that improve team's tradecraft and tools
- Contribute to industry thought leadership through blog posts, open source tools, conference, talks and academic white papers
- Assist in the development of our praetorian guard offensive security platform
- Develop comprehensive reports and presentations to help our customers understand the risk we identify
Requirements:
- All offensive security engineers must have a deep background in software and/or hardware engineering
- First principles understanding of systems and software
- Notable achievements in in CTFS, CCDC, CPTC or on testing platforms
- Track record of software development and open-source contributions within the security community
- Track record in vulnerability research and CVE assignments
- BS in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics from top 10 University
- Ability to separate the difference between activity and outcomes
- Willingness to drive to the outcome even if it requires long hours to achieve the goal
- Customer centric focus with an obsessive need to wow and delight each customer
