Lead Cloud Platform Engineer

Centene Corporation is a diversified national organization focused on improving health outcomes through technology. The Lead Cloud Platform Engineer will manage the technical approach to cloud infrastructure, lead a team of engineers, and ensure the successful deployment of cloud applications and services.

Responsibilities:

• Leads a team of engineers who builds and supports the administration of cloud-based environments
• Establishes and develops code-based CI/CD deployment plans for new and existing infrastructure based on standards and best-practices provided
• Leads and directs the implementation of monitoring solutions that give greater visibility into performance and reliability of cloud environments
• Partners with Development, Network and Security groups and integrate their requirements in all environment build plans
• Ensures the execution and completion of capacity plans to include cloud based deployments
• Leads the development and implementation of design, build, and deploy cloud applications, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics
• Delivers continuous integration and delivery pipeline and standards by enabling common DevSecOps tooling in cloud environment and providing development teams with the ability to execute builds, run tests, and deploy in automated fashion
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
• 5 – 7 years of related experience
• Experience with Azure and Amazon Web Services
• Strong knowledge of IaC and automation
• Experience with one or more of the following Gitlab, Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Cloud Deployment Manager
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Swarm, etc
• Knowledge of automation languages such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Packer, etc
• Experience with ARM templates (Azure Resource Manager templates)
• Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
