Lemonade is seeking a talented Insurance Product Manager to help create the most loved Car insurance on the planet. The role involves collaborating with various teams to innovate and expand Lemonade's Car product offerings, ensuring a fast, simple, and delightful experience for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new innovative car products to meet the needs of new emerging customer segments, including connected, autonomously driven cars
- Measure the impact of product changes to support future learnings and data-driven decision-making, ensuring our product evolves intelligently
- Build comprehensive product specification documents, identify project requirements, and partner with the Product team to prioritize and implement new features that delight our customers
- Research distribution channels, market trends, and competitor actions, making relevant recommendations to profitably grow the car business and maintain our competitive edge
- Advance our countrywide product and car strategy through forms, coverages, policy language, and rating plan sophistication, ensuring we offer cutting-edge protection
- Partner with actuarial and underwriting experts to work on the development of coverage, pricing adequacy and accuracy, and eligibility requirements, balancing innovation with financial soundness
- Collaborate with the Insurance Operations team to facilitate regulatory approval for product changes, such as new features, rate changes, or product enhancements, ensuring seamless implementation
Requirements:
- 7+ years of P&C experience, with a minimum of 5+ years of personal lines insurance experience in either product development, product management, or state management
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong collaborative spirit and exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective teamwork across departments
- A strategic thinker, willing to challenge the status quo and open-minded to creative solutions that redefine insurance
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with a knack for identifying trends and taking action to optimize product performance
- Strong technical skills (SQL, Python, Looker, or similar systems), including experience building dashboards or reports, preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Office or Google Suite skills
- Excellent organizational and project management capabilities, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a remote environment
