They are seeking a talented Digital Design Engineer II to design digital electronic circuit cards and units for missile guidance systems and other applications. This role involves collaborating with engineers to develop, analyze, simulate, test, and integrate complex digital electronic modules.
Responsibilities:
- The Digital Design Engineer II will be responsible for the end-to-end design, analysis, simulation, testing, and integration of digital electronic modules and circuit card assemblies for missile applications
- Key responsibilities include developing hardware designs that incorporate processors, FPGAs, memory modules, and industry-standard interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART
- The engineer will translate system requirements into detailed hardware designs, conduct rigorous simulations to verify functionality, and perform tests to validate performance
- Collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams is vital to ensure seamless integration and compliance with project specifications
- Additionally, the engineer will support the development of PCB layouts, participate in design reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining documentation and adhering to industry standards and best practices throughout the design process are integral to this role
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in digital circuit design
- Hands-on experience in developing and designing electronic circuits
- Experience in multi-assembly system or unit design
- Experience in processor-based systems
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active, transferable U.S. government security clearance (Secret level) prior to the start date
- Demonstrate the capacity to secure an interim security clearance, which involves a thorough background check and adherence to security protocols
