They are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to oversee plastic injection molding operations, focusing on optimizing manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Benchmark industry standards and propose strategies to position the company as a leader in custom manufacturing, injection molding, and engineering services
- Present and recommend company progress and strategic initiatives to upper management to support long-term growth
- Train, mentor, and monitor the performance of engineering staff to ensure skill development and operational excellence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and supply chain teams to meet operational goals and improve overall efficiency
- Oversee engineering activities to ensure compliance with customer requirements, standards, and policies
- Develop and implement engineering standard procedures to uphold quality, meet customer expectations, and respond efficiently to quotations and inquiries
- Participate in tooling design reviews and develop standards for quality tools and programs that enhance customer satisfaction
- Establish procedures for project and product management, including financial tracking, project timelines, and on-time delivery metrics
- Enhance the skills and knowledge of engineering staff to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities effectively, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in plastic injection molding
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with tooling, processing, and CAD within the custom molding industry
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, manufacturing systems, and quality assurance practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
