About this role
HCA Healthcare is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services and is seeking a Lead AI Engineer with expertise in Palantir Foundry. This role involves leading the design and operationalization of AI-driven solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impactful AI applications in healthcare settings.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical lead, partnering directly with clinical and operational stakeholders to deliver high-impact, mission-critical AI solutions in fast-paced environments
- Lead technical design and implementation of Palantir Foundry use cases
- Design and deploy LLM-powered workflows, AI agents, and enterprise decision-support solutions within Foundry
- Build data pipelines and workflows to prepare data for machine learning and GenAI
- Build, fine-tune, evaluate, and operationalize AI/ML models within Foundry’s ecosystem
- Implement and standardize robust MLOps practices, including versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, governance, and performance tracking
- Mentor other engineers as the team grows, and work with engineering leadership to define longer term roadmaps
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on AI Engineering
- 7+ years of overall engineering experience, including 2+ years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry in production environments
- Experience building and managing data pipelines, Ontology models, Workshop applications, and operational workflows within Foundry
- Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark/Spark, and advanced SQL
- Experience developing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments
- Experience with Generative AI / LLM-based solutions
- Strong experience building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Foundry tools, Python, and SQL
- Experience leading engineering teams and delivering projects in Agile environments
- Master's degree
- Experience implementing solutions in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance)
- Frontend development experience using TypeScript and React is a plus
- Palantir certifications (Foundry Data Engineer, Solution Architect, or Application Developer)
