About this role
Coinbase is on a mission to increase economic freedom in the world and is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their team. The role involves architecting and implementing solutions for subscription products, mentoring team members, and managing project priorities while contributing to the growth of Coinbase One subscribers.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design and implement foundational solutions for subscription product
- Provide technical structure to teams and work closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps
- Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise
- Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards
- Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers
- Be responsible for product and operational health
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- You've experienced architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact
- Experience managing technical roadmap and driving organizational engineering excellence
- Experience building or scaling systems related to subscription/membership/promotion products, or growth levers
- Experience with growth metrics (e.g. conversion, activation, retention, engagement) and A/B testing frameworks
- You've built financial, high reliability or security systems
- Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services
