AI Software Engineer

People In AI is a high-growth startup focused on building the backbone for high-assurance Generative AI applications. They are seeking an experienced full-stack AI engineer to design and implement production-grade Generative AI capabilities, contributing to core platform features and improving AI-driven systems' performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Design and ship production-grade Generative AI capabilities
• Build full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Develop observability and AI-tracing systems for complex AI workflows
• Own feature delivery from requirements to implementation and iteration
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership
• Improve performance, reliability, and quality of AI-driven systems
• Contribute to internal frameworks and reusable components
• Lead and participate in technical discussions and code reviews

Requirements:

• Ample full-stack software engineering experience
• Proven experience with LLM-powered applications, agents, or workflows
• Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Familiarity with GenAI development patterns (RAG, embeddings, vector search)
• Hands-on with orchestration tools (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, etc.)
• Ability to operate autonomously and make pragmatic technical decisions
• Strong debugging, architecture, and performance tuning skills
