Power BI Engineer

JMD Technologies Inc. is supporting a large enterprise organization seeking an experienced Power BI Engineer to design, optimize, and support enterprise-scale analytics solutions. This role focuses on advanced Power BI development, financial and supply chain reporting, and high-performance datasets sourced from ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports for finance and supply chain stakeholders
• Build and maintain complex DAX measures , including time intelligence and financial logic
• Design and implement dimensional data models (star schema) optimized for performance
• Optimize dataset performance, including incremental refresh and data modeling best practices
• Develop and maintain SQL queries to support reporting and analytics needs
• Partner with business and technical teams to translate reporting requirements into scalable BI solutions
• Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) in enterprise Power BI environments
• Support analytics solutions in regulated / SOX-controlled environments as applicable

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience
• Advanced expertise in DAX (complex measures, financial calculations, time intelligence)
• Dimensional modeling (star schema)
• Dataset performance optimization
• Incremental refresh
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience building reports from ERP systems
• Strong understanding of financial and/or supply chain reporting
• Experience with D365 Finance & Operations data
• Exposure to Azure data services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake)
• Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) at scale
• Background in finance or supply chain analytics
• Experience working in regulated or SOX-controlled environments
