Nesco Resource is working with a technology team to build a new mobile platform from the ground up. They are seeking an Azure Backend Architect / Engineer to design and build the cloud backend, create APIs, and integrate systems to support mobile applications and connected systems.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and building the Azure cloud backend that supports mobile applications and connected systems
- Creating APIs and backend services that allow mobile apps and other systems to communicate reliably and securely
- Helping define the overall architecture, including choosing the right tools, services, and design patterns
- Integrating the new platform with existing enterprise systems and external services
- Making sure the platform is scalable, secure, and built to grow over time
- Working closely with product managers, mobile developers, and other stakeholders to bring the platform together
- Helping move the platform from early proof-of-concept into a production-ready system
Requirements:
- Designing and building backend systems in Microsoft Azure
- Developing APIs and cloud-based services for modern applications
- Building platforms or backend systems from scratch
- Making architecture decisions and implementing them yourself
- Integrating systems with other platforms, services, or enterprise environments
- Communicating with technical teams, product teams, and stakeholders
- Azure services like App Services, Functions, API Management, Storage, or similar
- Backend development using C#, .NET, Node.js, Java, Python, or similar
- REST APIs and service-based architectures
- Authentication and security concepts like OAuth or role-based access
- Cloud databases (SQL or NoSQL)
- Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
- Monitoring, logging, and cloud diagnostics
- Built backend systems that support mobile apps
- Worked on proof-of-concept or early-stage products
- Helped design systems that integrate with external platforms or devices
- Worked in environments where you had a high level of ownership
