Virtustant is undertaking a significant rebuild of its core platform, Atlas, and is seeking a contract Project Manager to lead this critical initiative. The role involves coordinating across various departments to ensure a smooth transition from a services-delivered experience to a software-delivered platform, while maintaining operational continuity during migration.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a comprehensive Workflow Impact Map documenting all affected workflows, current state vs. future state changes, improvements, and identified gaps
- Lead the migration of six core datasets (VDR, deals, case management, document bank, directory, no-trade list) using structured phase gates between preparation, validation, and go-live
- Define validation criteria, track milestones, confirm rollback plans, and secure formal sign-offs prior to advancing phases
- Protect live transactions by maintaining a tracker of active high-value deals and sequencing migrations to prevent disruption
- Immediately escalate risks that may impact deal continuity, compliance, or launch timelines
- Coordinate go-live readiness across Engineering, Compliance, Delivery, Product, Customer Success, and Product Marketing
- Own the go-live checklist, rollback planning, communication sequencing, and executive approval process
- Lead post-launch stabilization efforts, including daily war rooms (initially), performance monitoring, usability tracking, and issue escalation
- Maintain a risk register and deliver weekly executive-level reporting to the CEO and leadership team
- Ensure compliance review cycle times and operational performance meet or exceed pre-launch baselines within 30 days post-launch
Requirements:
- Direct experience leading complex platform migrations or major product launches in regulated environments (e.g., fintech, healthtech, or similar industries)
- Proven experience managing cross-functional programs with multiple concurrent workstreams and external dependencies
- Demonstrated experience with structured data migration programs, including validation frameworks and rollback planning
- Experience operating at the executive level, presenting to senior leadership, and managing escalations effectively
- Strong written communication skills with a disciplined approach to documentation and accountability
- Ability to proactively identify and manage customer-facing risk during operational transitions
- Familiarity with compliance or regulatory workflows (FINRA/SEC environment preferred but not required)
- Experience in change management during enterprise platform transitions
- Background in risk management and executive reporting frameworks
