Ikuto is an early-stage AI company backed by top-tier Silicon Valley investors, focused on rethinking how data teams operate. They are seeking a Sales Engineer to bring their technology to life for prospective customers, owning the technical narrative in sales conversations and managing proof-of-concept evaluations.
Responsibilities:
- Own the technical narrative in sales conversations — from first call through to POC sign-off
- Run engaging, tailored product demonstrations that connect capabilities to each prospect’s real challenges
- Design and manage proof-of-concept evaluations, ensuring they land successfully within tight timescales
- Spin up bespoke demo environments, write supporting SQL scripts, and build integrations that showcase the platform
- Partner closely with product and engineering to relay what you’re hearing from the market
Requirements:
- 5+ years working in a hands-on, client-facing technical capacity — whether that's as an SE, solutions architect, data engineer, or consultant
- Confident writing and optimising SQL, with real-world Snowflake experience strongly preferred
- Solid grounding in today's data tooling: cloud warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks), dbt, orchestration tools like Airflow, and Python notebooks
- A proven track record of running demos and POCs that convert
- The ability to break down dense technical topics so that both engineers and business stakeholders walk away informed
- Time spent as a data warehouse engineer or DBA earlier in your career
- Startup experience, especially at a data infrastructure or platform company
- Exposure to data governance, quality monitoring, or observability tooling
