Are you ready to spend your summer inspiring young explorers? As a Summer Day Camp Teacher, you will teach and lead the daily activities for the Summer Day Camp. The Summer Day Camp is a summer program in which 21 campers ages 5-12 explore the Garden weekly through stories, games, art projects, cooking, and garden activities.
The camp will be conducted on weekdays from June 1 to July 24, with one-week breaks from June 15 to 19 and from June 29 to July 3.
Summer camp teachers will report to work on May 28 and 29 for an orientation. During the six weeks of camp weeks, teachers will work 8:30 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. More information about the Summer Camp can be found at https://atlantabg.org/classes-education/garden-camps/.
Key Responsibilities
Summer Camp Teachers work with the Youth Programs Coordinator to organize and lead campers in art projects, games, cooking and learning activities. Additionally, Summer Camp Teachers prepare the projects for each day, clean-up, and meet and greet parents. The majority of activities will be interactive, and we will spend as much time as possible outdoors.
