Job Description
📣 We are hiring for Certified and Non–Certified Pharmacy Technician in Frederick, MD 📣
We are seeking an experienced Certified and Non–Certified Pharmacy Technician to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services in our Central Fill facility. You will collaborate with pharmacists to provide exceptional customer service, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with state regulations and Walmart's standards.
Position type: Full-time
Work Schedule:
- 1st shift: Candidates must be available to work between the hours of 6am to 6pm.
- 2nd shift: Candidates must be available to work between the hours of 4pm to 4am
- 3rd shift: Candidates must be available to work between the hours of 9pm to 9am
- Full-Time Positions Only: Associates will work 10-hour shifts on a rotating schedule. Candidates must have open availability Sunday through Friday. Plus, the facility is closed on Saturdays.
Compensation details:
- Non-Certified Pharmacy Technicians: Pay starts $20.50/hr based on experience.
- Certified Pharmacy Technicians: Pay starts $24/hr based on experience.
- Plus $2.00/hour shift differential for the 2nd shift
Key responsibilities:
- Maintains pharmacy systems, monitors inventory levels and expiration date, calibrates machines, troubleshoots pill cell issues, and ensures medication replenishment.
- Organizes, restocks, and tracks inventory, performs cycle counts, ensures stock rotation, reports low stock, and monitors expired pharmaceuticals.
- Enters and modifies pharmaceutical data, processes paperwork, resolves discrepancies, creates reports, and informs management of inefficiencies.
- Assists pharmacists with prescription fulfillment, manages stock, handles claims and returns, ensures proper documentation, and maintains a clean work environment.
- Uses scanners to select, verify, label, count, and package medications, ensuring fast production and replenishing automated machines.
- Tracks inventory with automated systems, audits pill cells, manages inventory procedures, discards hazardous waste, and processes recalled/expired stock.

Qualifications
- Valid National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT). (Preferred)
- Maryland State Board of Pharmacy License TSBP (Required)
