Secretary/Technician - Per Diem, Days 7p-7a, Cardiac Care Unit, Overlook Medical Center

Secretarial Duties: Including but not limited to answering phones, call bells, visitor intercom, supply inventory and ordering, restocking supplies, supply procurement, preparing and maintaining patient charts, tracking patient flow in and out of the unit, and filing as needed. Admissions/discharge and transfer function in the electronic health record. Ensuring proper labeling of all documents. Maintaining downtime forms.

 

Comply with hospital policies and procedures. Attend department and Unit Rep/PCT meetings, complete all necessary training, maintain competencies and participate in quality improvement projects. Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, team members, and interdepartmentally. Ensure patient/family expectations are exceeded.

Education:

Education: High School Diploma required. College preferred.  

Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel required. Epic preferred. 

Clinical Skills: Phlebotomy, ECG, glucometer and BLS certification preferred
