Summary Perform regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy of stock records, support inventory reconciliation, and identify/discrepancies and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct scheduled cycle counts of inventory by SKU, location, and product category.
· Count items accurately using handheld scanners, tablets, or paper forms.
· Compare physical counts to system records and record variances.
· Investigate and document root causes of discrepancies; escalate significant issues.
· Reconcile minor variances in inventory management system and prepare discrepancy reports.
· Support full physical inventories as needed.
· Keep storage areas organized and maintain proper labeling and bin locations.
· Follow inventory control procedures, safety policies, and loss-prevention practices.
· Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, purchasing, and operations teams to resolve inventory issues.
· Maintain accurate count logs and generate count summary reports for management.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
· 1+ year experience in warehouse, inventory control, retail stock, or similar role preferred.
· Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS/ERP) and barcode scanning devices.
· Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
· Good communication and record-keeping skills.
· Accurate counting and data-entry under time constraints.
· Ability to follow procedures and work independently.
· Basic troubleshooting and investigative skills to identify counting errors.
· Comfortable using handheld devices and simple software.
