The U.S. healthcare system is complex and rapidly evolving, with new and changing business models enabling the supply and distribution of treatments for patients. For AbbVie to be FutureFit in this environment, it is vital that our USMAx Team thoroughly comprehend the current and future state of the evolving and expanding models aimed at distributing and delivering treatments to patients in the U.S. healthcare ecosystem in alternative non-traditional ways.
The Director, U.S. Max Alternative Distribution Strategic Alliances will be responsible for U.S. market access strategy development and contracting for alternative distribution and direct contracting models across all Therapy Areas that is expected to exceed >$1 Billion in total contracted value to AbbVie over the LRP. The role reports into the Vice-President of U.S. MAx Account Management & Trade. The Director U.S. MAx Alternative Distribution Strategic Alliances will be responsible for establishing this new FutureFit function within USMAx , including developing a comprehensive Alternative Distribution strategic framework across Therapy Areas, identifying optimal cross functional alignment and capabilities, and broader organizational structure and needs. This person will be the primary point of contact for BU Heads, MAx leadership, and Cross Functional Partners for Alternative Distribution strategy development and go to market planning. Additionally, this role will work closely with Trade and Distribution Account teams to build and maintain extensive relationships with current and prospective Strategic Alliance partners, as well as lead all contracting and negotiation strategy, including establishing an approval governance framework.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of building and leading high-visibility strategies and gaining alignment and consensus across multiple functions across the AbbVie Enterprise. This person will be responsible for defining strategically aligned objectives, aligning talent and resources to those objectives, and monitoring performance across all initiatives to ensure contract performance, while maintaining regular updates and engagements with BU Heads, USMAx leadership, cross functional colleagues and other stakeholders.
