Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with Estimators/Project Managers and supervisors to facilitate successful completion of all phases of construction projects preconstruction to completion
- Coordinate team members, equipment needs, and material requirements for construction projects and work closely with Project Managers to ensure smooth operations
- Oversee the recruitment of new team members and help foremen with crew development
- Administer the continuous and multi-disciplinary training of all construction personnel
- Coordinate with team members and subcontractors to ensure all work is within project scope and specifications
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors and clients/owner representatives to ensure safe and timely completion of projects
- Develop and maintain resource-loaded master construction schedule identifying project assignments for key team members
- Coordinate with Project Managers/Estimators to accomplish timely project procurement
- Assist with the development of project schedules and monitor production to ensure timely, high quality project completion
- Maintain project schedule once developed and track job productivity to make resource allocation decisions
- Help develop 3-week schedule for foremen and Project Managers
- Review schedules with each project foreman and track productivity
- Review daily cost reports and adjust operations as needed
- Conduct regular safety meetings and help address areas requiring attention and meet the safety culture established
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10 plus years of related construction experience in highway/paving/concrete/construction
- Working knowledge of job cost accounting and estimating
- Strong leadership skills with high integrity
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Current driver’s license
