Scope of Position:
The Social Services Driver/Custodian is responsible to drive up to and including a 16-foot box truck and utilize a hydraulic fork lift. This position shall transport food and other items to/from stores, agencies, distributors. This position is responsible for general cleaning of the Family Services office, Bays and Shop. Will assist Warehouse Attendant in the warehouse when time allows.

Professional: The ability to work in a distinctively Christian environment. The ability to interact with co-workers and the public in a positive, professional manner in conformity with The Salvation Army Mission Statement. The ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances. Must possess the self-discipline necessary to perform repetitive tasks without lowering quality of work. Able to work with limited supervision, and work in a team setting with other professionals. Exercise good judgment.
Equipment: Motor vehicles, telephone, computer, copy/fax machine, 10-key calculator, proficient with janitorial equipment, including industrial vacuum, push broom, mop, ladder, hydraulic fork lift, power jack, power tools, tools including (hammer, screw drivers, nails, screws, nuts and bolts) multiple chemicals for cleaning.

This position may have frequent phone and in person contact with people from diverse backgrounds who may be angry, hostile, confused or frustrated. May walk or stand on varied surfaces. May require work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
