Location: On-Site – Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi
Schedule: Full-time; open availability including weekends and holidays is required. Flexibility may be needed for emergency repairs and special projects.
Reports To: Property Manager
Position Summary
The Property Maintenance Helper is responsible for assisting the maintenance team in repairing and maintaining residential homes across Kualoa Ranch properties. This role supports a crew of 2–3 people and works under the direction of team leads to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and basic construction experience. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in residential maintenance and construction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Assistance & Support
• Assist team leads in completing tasks and projects on schedule.
• Help with various home repair and construction activities, including:
o Loading and unloading materials
o Job site cleanup and junk removal
o Minor landscaping and painting
o Basic carpentry and masonry tasks
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adapt tasks based on skillset and evolving company needs.
Operational Duties
• Safely operate hand tools and basic power tools under supervision.
• Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs unassisted.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working on roofs.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
• 1+ years of construction experience, preferably in residential construction and repair.
• Ability to perform physical labor and follow directions accurately.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to learn.
• Excellent customer service for interacting with guests and tenants.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
