
Temple Health has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider - Manager, Cardiovascular Administration, Full-time dayshift 40 hours/week at Temple University Hospital - Main Campus. This candidate should be an Experienced Advanced Practice Provider, with a minimum of 3 years experience in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, as a Critical Care Intensivist, and/or extensive Cardiovascular background. This provider will do procedures such as, but not limited to; Central line insertion and extraction, Chest tube placement and extraction, different types of Balloon insertion and more, but will not operate as a first assist. We will consider experienced APP candidates and well as a new to practice advanced practice providers only if they have an extensive Registered Nursing background in the Cardiac Cath lab, ICU, or telemetry unit experience only. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm with NO ON-CALL, but the position does have an every 3rd weekend work requirement.
Job Duties:
Management position assumes leadership responsibility for the clinical component of the CV Surgery Advanced Practice Providers. Provides oversight for the clinical care provided to patients in CV Surgery programs. Supervises, evaluates, guides, schedules and counsels the CV Surgery providers in their work and performance. Coordinates and utilizes available staff to provide optimal delivery of clinical service.
Able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of theory and practice involved in providing care; familiarity with organization and function of departments, policies, procedures and regulations; knowledge of principles of leadership and organizational structure. Communicates consistently with the Director of Operations of the Heart and Vascular Institute. RN-LIC and CRNP or MPA-LIC required at time of hire.
Education
Master's Degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program (PA-C)
Experience
3 years experience in a clinical specialty environment Required
General Experience in a management role Preferred
Licenses
PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner Required and
PA Registered Nurse License Required
or
PA Medical Physician Asst Lic Required
